POLICIES

TRIP POLICIES

1. Frontier Travel & Tours reserves the right to cancel any trip.

2. In the event of circumstances beyond Frontier's control (i.e. weather, natural disasters, unforeseen accidents, etc.), Frontier is not responsible for extra incurred costs.

3. The motorcoach does not wait past scheduled departure time(s). While on a trip, a passenger failing to be at a designated point at the appropriate time may be left behind and will no longer be considered part of the trip. If a passenger chooses to leave the tour, notification must be made to the tour escort. If a person is left, the tour escort will notify the appropriate Senior Center and Frontier Travel & Tours.

4. Passengers unable to travel alone or need assistance with a wheelchair, should bring a companion who will ensure their safety. Escorts and drivers will not be available for wheelchair assistance.

5. Luggage: (1) piece per passenger for overnight trips and (2) pieces per passenger for extended tours. Each passenger may also take a small "carry-on" bag on the bus, airplane, train or cruise ship.

6. Smoking is not permitted on buses. Periodic rest stops will be made to accommodate smokers and to stretch your legs.

7. All tips, taxes and gratuities (including drivers) are included on all trips, unless otherwise indicated.

8. If meals are included, any special dietary requirements must be noted on your application.

REGISTERING FOR TRIPS

Space is limited, registration will be accepted on a first come basis.

1. Each center will have a designated date, time and location for a "travel desk". Each desk will be operated by a Frontier assigned "travel escort/volunteer". Trip information and reservations will only be made at the travel desk.

2. Reservations for trips will begin 60 days prior to the month of the trip and will only be taken at the travel desks.

3. During the month of the trip, reservations may only be made by calling the trip line (1-800-955-2877) and paid by credit card or by mail to the Frontier office (Frontier Tours, 1923 N. Carson St., Carson City, Nevada 89701). The travel desk will not be taking reservations during the month of departure. Reservations will be recorded as the date of receipt to Frontier.

4. Registrations by mail to Frontier will be opened in the order of date received. They must include payment, which will be returned if space is no longer available.

PAYMENTS

1. Travel Desks may accept credit cards (Visa and MasterCard only), personal checks or money orders (made payable to Frontier Tours).

2. Credit card payments must be accompanied by filling out the proper form.

3. Mail in reservations to Frontier will be accepted beginning the first business day of the month of departure.

SEAT ASSIGNMENTS

1. Each center will be assigned bus sections for assigning seats. These sections will rotate from trip to trip.

2. The escorts will always be assigned the row of seats behind the driver.

3. Seats will be assigned when payment is made. The seat number will be noted on the passenger receipt/ticket.

4. During the month of the trip, Frontier will assign the remaining seats and provide that number to the passenger and record it on their receipt/ticket.

RECEIPTS

1. Receipts will be issued at time of payment.

2. Each receipt will have seat assignment, level of activity, brief itinerary including destination and times, cancellations and refunds policies and a number to call for questions.

3. Receipts from reservations sent to Frontier via mail will be sent back to the travel desk for pick up.

ACTIVITY LEVEL GUIDE

The tour activity level guide is to help inform participants of the amount of walking or physical activity they that might occur on the tour. This is a general guide and each participate must judge for themselves the amount of activity they can handle.

  • MINIMAL ACTIVITY : Mostly sitting, minimal walking

  • MODERATE ACTIVITY: Requires walking for short to moderate distances over relatively level terrain

  • SUBSTANTIAL ACTIVITY: Contains a lot of walking, including steps and possibly hills . People with physical limitations should take this into consideration

  • CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

    Some tours are unique and require special reservation and cancellation policies. Unless indicated on the tour flyer, the following policy will apply.

    If the Tour is cancelled by Frontier, a full refund will be made.

    If the passenger cancels:

  • A full refund less any non refundable admissions/tickets will be made if the passenger cancels up to 31days prior to the trip.

  • If the passenger cancels 30 days to 15 days prior to the trip date, a full refund less a $10 service charge and any non refundable admissions/tickets will be made.

  • If the passenger cancels 14 days to and including the day of the trip, there will be no refund.

  • No refunds will be made in the event the passenger misses the bus, "no shows", or leaves the tour before the tour concludes.

  • No refunds for unused portions by the passenger of the tour included activities.

  • No fees will be charged if the passenger resells their ticket to another passenger and notifies Frontier in advance so the manifest can be adjusted.

  • Any refunds will be mailed directly to the passenger and credit card refunds will be processed as expediently as possible. Expect a minimum of 14 days before receipt of check.
